Summary [3]

In the article The Literature Review: A Few Tips On Conduction It (http://advice.writing.utoronto.ca/types-of-writing/literature-review/) Dena Taylor from Health Science Writing Centre gives important tips about writing a literature review. First of all, she explains what a literature review is and states its main purpose - to give a reader an idea about the information you found on your topic and to list advantages and disadvantages of it. She also claims that a literature review should not be just the description of all your materials, you have to explain some concepts here. A literature review learns you how to find and evaluate resources, for example, for the course paper.
Then Dena lists very important and useful questions which you should ask yourself before writing a literature review. They are related both to a literature review and books or articles you include. For example, you have to choose the type, specify the problem, critically analyze your work, to find books and articles which clearly define the topic and so on.
In the end, Dena reminds that a literature review is a kind of discursive prose, so it is very important to remember that there should be your thoughts and ideas, not just silly enumeration of books and scientists.

I personally think that this article is written wisely for students to understand the idea and structure of a literature review.
